An experienced teacher leads the session with tambourine in hand, a warm smile, and a strong singing voice. Children have the opportunity to play a wide selection of percussion instruments at every session and have fun guessing the next puppet to come out of the “Song Bag!”
At all our classes live singing is blended with music from all around the world from the Putumayo Kids music range, providing exciting sounds and rhythms for both parents and children to enjoy together.
We pride ourselves in delivering high quality classes and therefore limit the number of children at each class to 16.
Each session follows a theme to provide focus and has a defined structure in order to give a familiar, comfortable environment in which children can learn most effectively. Importantly, the stronger structural elements of the session provide children with cues triggering anticipation of the next, perhaps favourite, activity. In Baby Classes we see parents enthralled as little hands begin to anticipate clapping to the “Hello Song.”
Your Salt Box Music experience doesn’t stop once you get home! A week is a long time in a small person’s world so we provide each child with a “Musician’s Manual” containing song sheets for singing together at home; a new song sheet is given at every class so your repertoire will grow as your child does!
